A father and son,
two disciplines,
one practice.
Reed & Reed is Kevin and Sam Reed — one consultancy built around two genuinely different skill sets that happen to solve the same client's problem from opposite ends.
30 years in the parts of the business most consultants never touch
Kevin has spent three decades working in highly integrated hardware and software product development, and in managing the factory and warehouse operations, engineering, and manufacturing that turn a product into something a business can actually build at scale. He works with clients from the earliest concept stage through stable production — including the embedded and application software that runs alongside the hardware — and brings that same operational eye to warehouse and factory strategy. As AI tools mature for physical-world use, he applies them where they genuinely help, not as a headline feature.
Making AI part of how a business actually sells
Sam works with the same clients to implement local AI instances and integrate that capability directly into marketing and sales — not as a bolt-on tool, but as part of the workflow itself. That work is grounded in experience partnering with customers and engineers to integrate inventory systems, marketing tools, and payment processing into large-scale web deployments, giving him a practical sense of how digital systems need to hold up once a physical product is actually shipping.
Most physical-product consultants stop at the factory door
Kevin's side covers the product and the operations that build it. Sam's side covers what happens once that product needs to reach customers and generate revenue. Clients get both without managing two separate vendors.
Small enough to know your business, experienced enough to trust
A two-person consultancy means direct access to the people actually doing the work — backed by decades of hands-on experience rather than a large firm's junior bench.
